Carl's Walk

Wednesday, 4 p.m.

As Carl leaves the Half Moon Café, he finds out that it's pouring rain. He has no umbrella with him, not even a raincoat. Instead of taking a long walk, he decides to head straight home to get some reading done.

[Supermarket Produce]On his way he passes the Rightway supermarket, which is pretty crowded with people shopping on their way home from work.

Carl reaches his brick apartment building just as the rain is finally stopping. He notices that his downstairs neighbor is already home.

He opens the front door, collects the day's mail and walks up the main stairs to his apartment. Carl goes straight to his bedroom to change out of his wet clothes. In about two hours he will go out again to meet his friend Mike at a Mexican restaurant.

[Armchair]
Back in his livingroom, Carl looks through the mail he got today. Then he picks up one of the books he needs to read for a British literature class. Occasionally, he jots down one of his ideas in a notebook.
